Reading Survey

July 4th, 2016

The National Children’s Bureau (NCB) Research Centre is an independent UK charity that is working with the reading charity BookTrust to undertake research to explore reading in foster families.

We’re interested in your experiences of reading as a foster carer and the experiences of the children that you foster. We are keen to hear whether there is any additional support that could be provided to help foster families in the UK.

We would be very grateful if you could take part in this survey which should take about 10-15 minutes of your time to complete. At the end, we will also ask if one of your foster children is happy to answer a few questions about reading to ensure both foster carers and children’s views are reflected.

Both this survey and the one for your foster children are entirely voluntary and you are free to exit the survey at any time. We would be grateful if you can answer as many questions as you feel able to.

Answers from everyone who completes this survey will be analysed together and inform a report available later this year. Your answers will remain confidential and anonymous. This is not a test so please do answer the questions honestly. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Edwards (AEdwards@ncb.org.uk) at NCB Research Centre.

We would appreciate it if you could complete the survey by Friday 8th July.

Thank you for your time.
